A Few More

I have more, as John Chapin used to say, but only just a few.  Yeah, right.

I've shown this on Facebook, but not here.  The finished temple-gate trellis in bright morning light

I've wanted to walk up to this contraption to get a closer look.  It's at Rock Creek Dam

closer still.  If you look behind the dam, between the gates and the suspended walkway, you can just glimpse the train heading down the canyon

closer even still

I'm going to walk "around" it

it's like a castle in a moat

lupins (is that the correct plural of lupin?)

one of the lovely table-settings at Kristine's baby shower.  Thanks, Traci!

on a ride around Chandler Road, I spotted the baby on the ground.  by the time I got my camera, the wee thing was up and walking

the bridge over the North Fork to Humbug Valley

it was a mushy, vertiginous hike across.  we'll be glad when the repairs are completed.

Oddments

It's been a while since I put photos here, so I'll just post a few random shots of things experienced or seen.  Hi Ma!

Stopped at a traffic stop on Jarbo Gap

A view of our Dunedin World above the Tobin Bridges.  Our home is hidden in the trees directly behind the bridge

wild lilacs and a water tank behind Rock Crest

me and my new Have Mercy Protest T-shirt

One of three flora-bunda azaleas.  Makes me want to plant a whole park-full of them.

Here is the Temple Gate trellis Jeffery is building us at the head of our path stairway

Tartan Day is April 6th

Sorry to show you a carcass but this little fellow gleamed in the sun like a jeweled bracelet

snow balls fell to the deck

These are growing along my driveway, but I don't know what they are.  Anyone?

priming the trellis.  wait 'til you see the color I'll be putting on it.

the Buck's Creek "Wye" which is water on rocks.  It's a landmark when hiking in the hills.

Rock House has a new sign, and a coffee cafe!!!

My peas are flowering!
