I'm thinking up a new post, to wind up the winter, but, in the meantime, I have some fun things to show; not too many, just for the heck of it.
| We have a pipe-line project starting, so there's equipment in our yard. |
| pipes and a sheep's-foot attachment |
| Kyria and I hiked along the American River when we got together in Auburn recently. We hiked up the hill they call "K-2" |
| The next morning we began gamely enough on another walk, but the driving wind and rain and snow turned us back and we only got in 3 miles. |
| On the way home from Auburn, I stopped in Marysville for Bomb Day celebrations, and found Mary and Lawrence Tom at the Museum on 1st St. The sounds of firecrackers filled the air, and worshippers surrounded the Temple, just like on Parade Day. |
| The Marysville Cemetary got flooded pretty badly; everywhere you see brown, and this is only part of the cemetary. |
| The beautiful gateway into the cemetery. It was closed for rehabilitation, but I want to go tour it, as I never have done this one yet. |
| Heading into Oroville from the south, you can see the (gray wall-thing) Dam and Spillway (to the left of the Dam) in the background. Think of the residents who could see it when they got the evacuation notice. Kinda nervifying. |
| came home to a white world, which proved to be more hail than snow. This is my front step. |
| I could make it across the creek, now that the volume has decreased. |
| Despite what it looks like he's doing, Jeffery is actually bouncing on the bridge to test its sturdiness. |
There you go, just a little bit of this and that.
