The New Year - 2019

I've been away, being busy, and lazy, and having good times.  I'll play catch-up now.  Prepare to see a number of snow photos.

Hand-towel swan on our hotel bed in Tiburon

Blue Heron is not shy at all.

Liana's lovely table set for Grandma's Christmas Party dinner

G-ma, me, Kyria, Jeffery and Matt.  Together at Jim and Liana's.

Other family members gathered around us.

Rain-dripped tree

Oil slick on the side of the road.

A cloudy day travelling over Jarbo Gap.  See the green-sprayed cliff faces?

Another view of Jarbo Gap.

Up and over between Scooters and Rock House.

Voluminous creek

Lori B. and I at the 3rd Women's March on Chico

Two ladies with posters.

Another burn zone shot, looking up.

Nevada City get-away, doing the puzzle Lucy gave us.

Craig arrived just in time to have fun finishing it with us.

At Sugar Bowl, I found this proof of someone who knows how to cross-country ski.

Truffles from the truffle shop in Nevada City, an easy 2 blocks down from our accommodation.

The pool just below the spillway out of Lake Roland.

Rock stacking fun.

A informative sign.

There I am under the modern bridge looking at the old bridge

I love the structure of it.  Some arch bridges don't have the "joists" like this one does.

Hey!  Someone built a castle.

Jeffery brings me a sampler of scotches at our annual Robert Burns Dinner with the Nevada Society of Scottish Clans.

Stopped in Verdi for a pit stop.

What the dinosaur is looking at; eastward toward Fallon?

The old jail wall in the tiny town of Dutch Flat.

The old Hotel is getting renovated!

Here's the Masonic Temple

and right next door, the IOOF Hall

The old Post Office building.

Look at the bay windows on the 2nd Floor.  I want one of those rooms.

The sign.

The Hearse House.

The Community Hall

The Methodist Church

A view of Ben Lomond and Rich Bar from Hamrick's

A sink and a bathtub make a wash house, right?

Clear Creek up in the Rich Bar area

Mill Creek

Ruins of the Wess house

Very cool structure; apparently poured cement.  Sure is tall!

Road work at Four Trees Rd.

Another trip over Jarbo Gap, where the green-spray is yellowing.

Someone put a small section of cement driveway on the hill a year or so back.  It was forested at the time, but not any more.

Craig, Jeffery and I do the 2nd puzzle, this one after Sara did it and passed it on.

Snow storm at the Yellow Creek Bridge project on my mail run.

The stairs in the morning

I was so glad I got up early this day.

My world transformed

Snow laden branches

A sturdy rose cane bowed down by snow

The fish pond garden

A touch of color

The texture was so ultra-fluffy

Mundane trees made into fantabulous decorations.

Rich Bar - the forest through the trees.

Pulled back a bit to show the vista of the heights.

Ben Lomond - bella montana!
I shall be back with more, but here's what I finally compiled.  Happy winter to you all.
