A Bicycle Half Marathon

In training, I have pedaled more than 13.1 miles in one go, but for some reason, it felt more Official when I rode those same miles along the Running With the Bears course today.
I'd imagined trying to go the full 26.2 miles for the big win, but am now glad that I didn't.  I did meander for another 2 miles before I stowed my bike on my car, since it's just so darned pleasant!  It was also a perfectly nice day in the North Arm.
And BEST of ALL was that I didn't succumb to the desire to get off and walk up Bear Bait Hill.  The runner behind me, who actually passed me on the hill, heard me pleading with and urging myself to "keep going, come on, you're doing it!", which may have been why she passed me.......
Anyway, I had fun, saw friends, got excercised, and toured an area I love.  And I give kudos to the folks who put on the Running with the Bears event.  To my family, there's gossip that this event is already close to being sold out for Next Year....so......wanna run it in 2014?

it was very chilly this morning!

is this photo the very definition of Idyllic?

I prove that I got beyond the half way of the Half
