Decking the Halls

It's that time of year when we get all excited about decorating for the Christmas holiday, which happens right after Solstival!!(hee hee).  Here are some views of us getting started on putting up glittery, colorful object, cutting trees, and adorning our home.  This year's Christmas tree was ecologically chosen, which makes it have a few bare spots, and a woobly trunk, so we proudly refer to it as our Who-Tree.

It all began with the decorating of Dick's outdoor tree

then we went up towards Argentine Rock to hunt the elusive noble Fir Tree.
This one will go to San Francisco John and Martha

This one is ours.  See how it is one of several off a single stump?  That is what I mean by environmentally wise

We then went to Thanksgiving with family, and while there, put up and decorated Grandma's tree with the kids

Here's Grandma with four of her 13 grandchildren

Back at home, we eagerly begin our own festive bedecking, starting with our Who-Tree.
Eek!  I haven't even unpacked my suitcase.  Guess we couldn't wait to be Christmas elves.
Jeffery sets up the Scrap End Village.  I paint the houses and backdrops, and add to the collection every year.

Next, the Advent Calendar that Sara made back when Kyria was a wee lass

When I went to Quincy, I spotted the special Light Display all ready for it's night-time glowing

Santa-Wreatha is excited to take the Christmas Cards to the mailbox to be sent out

Upon mailing the cards, I drove up Caribou Rd. to say hi to the Reindeer Tree.  He looked cold!

Mouser watches me put some of the final ornaments on the tree.
The trunk his bed is on was made for us by Dan and Diane Wilson.

Russian Kisses fill the cookie jar Jeffery's family has had since he was a wee lad
The lid has a little school bell, so you can't sneak a cookie

Jeffery's train decorates the display cabinet

Our Who-Tree looks pretty darned magical

One more shot of Dick's Tree

The wreath Craig and Darlene made for us so long ago.
Merry Solstival and Joyous Christmas
