Mom, Kathy, Jeffery and I went up past Quincy and up the LaPorte Rd to get the most elevation for our tree hunt, since our usual roads have been snowed on in recent storms, and we weren't ready to risk getting stuck or sliding off the road. Our chosen path gave us enough sliding moments in shady corners to provide thrills, and a bitter cold-feeling snow squall came in as we began our tree hunt, so we didn't linger or get too choosy. Came home with trees for each home, and had a good time doing it! Ho ho ho!

| It's quite breezy, and the roadway downhill of this photo is all iced up as it goes into a shady zone. Kathy likes a tree below. Mom will wend down into the icy zone to look for her tree. |

| almost down |

| I cut my tree down next. No snow in this area, where it gets sun |
 |
| Mom points out the one she likes. We're used to going higher up for beefier trees, but it's Cold, so that tree will do fine. |
 |
| Jeffery sawed it down and flung it up the bank so we could load it with the other two and get in the car where it was warm. It was fun to ride down the long hill in the light snow which turned to rain. We have our trees, and don't have to worry any more! |
