It's a New Year!

Our 2015 ended with a freezing cold gather around the traditional bonfire, where we burned two Christmas trees, set off some tiny fireworks, whirled sparklers in the air, and drank hot cocoa with candy canes to dip in the cups.
Then it was on to Grama's Christmas Gather in beautiful rainy Marin County.  Such good times with family.
Be prepared to see lots of the color RED.

the White Elephant gift swap has occured, and now it's time for presents.  We always have paper fights during this phase of the party.

Barbara and her SF Giant colored socks, hand-knit by my sister Sara.  (I tease Mom that they're the color of the Baltimore Orioles!)

Okay, the Big Gift of the Party is being opened; one for each of my kids

Barbara-Grama spent all summer making these two quilts from our collection of Belden T-shirts.  It was hard to photograph the opening, due to much movement.

the happy recipients with the quilt-maker

oops!  out of sync, but had to include the thankyou hugs!

Kyria, Kathleen, and Auntie Annette

on my ride home, I had to photograph this slew of ewes and lambikins

the foreground sheep looks like she's due any day

there's an egret in there, too!
Well, now it's back to regular life, eh?  Happy New Year to you all!  (or should I say "ewe all"?)
