End of July - part one

Here is a running photo montage of my travellin' days, with a few quiet moments, too.  We also were blessed with a new great-nephew, Taylan Bellah, but that's a story for later, since it's so recent.

The Windmill at Santa Nella, where I stop for cheap gas on my trips to see Jeffery

America's Farm to Fork Capital!

A funny unknown floral bush on a walk with the ladies.

A derelict hot dog stand next to the Cabrillo College satellite in Watsonville

Gizdich Farms tractor.

We'd been told to look this cool Farm up because of its fabulous pies.  How could we resist.  We got a tour of Watsonville's various neighborhoods looking for the Farm, but that was fun, too.

Farmer Jeffery in the apple orchards.  A four generation farm.

Juniperro Serra is buried under the altar.

This is a reliquary!  I never really knew what they looked like.  This one holds the remains of the original coffin of Juniperro Serra.

There's the pulpit on the wall

loved the painted ceiling and walls in this room

This Mary is so representative of grief, while her outfit is sublime.

Very large cypress.

The plaza has been repaved since my time here.

Oh the fun I remember around this fountain.

I'd like one of these, please.

I guess they had two of these next to eachother originally?

One of Dr. Seuss's paintings in a shop we browsed.

Another Dr. Seuss.

This one was kind of my favorite

The dog mask and merman caught my eye in this shop, and we also toured a fine pen and paper shop.

This was sort of my favorite house along the cliff drive we took

art shot of seaweed, and tales of our popping as many of the balloon-bladders as we could, just because they were there.

The beach with the lagoon, where we swam as kids.

One more funny shaped house

One more look at the beach towards Point Lobos, and then we started home.
I have, again, only a few more, but I'll leave those for later.
