Visit to Jeffery - part two

After that big day on my own, Jeffery and I decided to spend Saturday back down in the Carmel area, with a tour of Point Lobos.  Parked outside the entrance and walked in, which meant we could only get to so many of the sights, but we did pretty good.  Later, on a whim, we took the Mark Thomas Dr. exit in Monterey, and ended up touring Cannery Row, and having lunch/dinner there before returning to our digs, watching a Scottish movie, and sleeping 9 hours. Sunday was quieter, with lunch in Los Gatos with Riquia, and some quiet walks and talks and another movie and early to bed.  Monday was back to work for Jeffery, and back to the canyon for me.

We couldn't resist trying some Inner Peas.

Me and the Whale

Jeffery hops off the whale when a speeding get-away car emerged from the beach and zoomed off, chased by a cop car with surf boards on it.

Purple shrubbery

At Point Lobos, where the photos hardly show the magnificence that surrounds us.

The sea carves strange shapes in the rocks, and if you stand too close to the edges, the surf with soak you with splash, as it did the people in the right of this photo.

Tide pools!

Jeffery and I have been yearning to scamper on the rocks and investigate the tide pools.  Now's our chance!

The noise of the receding waves on the tiny pebbles was worth sitting and listening to, and the waves were cool, too.

Interesting rocks and sea

Cannery Row; and it's just as hard to find parking as any beach tourist town

I show you this for one reason.  The flowers and people on the upper deck are wooden cut-out decorations!

See?  Flat painted wood!  Great idea, eh?

Ceramic tiles caught Jeffery's eye in Los Gatos.

Pretty doorway caught my eye.

Lunch with Riquia, who I haven't seen since.....gosh, is it since NYC?

Downstairs are two more bedrooms and another bathroom with laundry facilities.

Here's the other bedroom.  All  rooms have decks off them.

Ah, such a nice time.  Now it's time to catch up on real life so I can set out for my next adventure; a road-trip to Oregon!
