A Quickie

Just a few photos of moments left off Facebook, or of more recent doings, which have kept me local.

Sorry for my childish humor, but this struck me as funny.  Rest Assured, I have no wish to offend.

This was rather interesting when I visited Whiskeytown Lake.  The same sort of thing happens at Lake Almanor.

Here's a helpful graphic to give you the idea.

And there is the curtain on the lake.

Brenda and I hiked up the P.C.T. into the Chipps Creek canyon.

Poison oak happens to be luxuriant this year, and beautiful, too.

Look, how pretty.  Don't touch!

Brenda in her hunting season safety outfit clashing with the poison oak.

We were way up above the creek, and the cool breeze felt like autumn.

The yellow maples look like sheep on the hillsides.

Another status photo of the Maple Leaf sand-bar study.

The sumac in the Indian Jim Campground was also vibrant.

Isn't that nice?

Here, have another shot of it.

One last one with the river in it.
