We're heading into the Courthouse Sing in Quincy CA
Looking down from the 3rd floor balcony
Sara and Jeffery
Jeffery and the Bear
Dorothy loves the Christmas window at Forest Stationer
The characters in the window
The top of our Tree
Night view from the deck; you can just make out Rudolph flying away
Our tree
The National Hotel in Jackson CA, where we had a hot toddy and a bowl of chowder after our chilly wend through town.
One of the pretty window displays
The hill above town was all decorated. This is just part of it. Jeffery drove his Mom and me around for our traditional Christmas Lights Tour, which we normally do in San Francisco.
Loved this window!
Here's a different view of it.
The jewelry store window display
The front doors of the National Hotel
Sparkly view
The front lobby
In Angel's Camp, we noted the plaques which were implanted every 10 feet or so, noting the winners of the Frog Jumping Contest. Note this one is only 3 feet 9 inches; a world record at the time.
Ripple jumped way farther. The frogs get 3 hops, and the highest total is the winner
This was the furthest jumper we saw, but it doesn't say World Record, so there must be a better frog somewhere
This bridge was bracketed by lovely trestles
This man played the ukulele! (My yenta blood tried to arrange for him and Mom to get together)
The Amador County Museum. It was really cool, but I didn't see much of it, as I got to gabbing happily with a historian
I've never seen a sewing machine like this one.
Jeffery and his Mom
