Three Days in April 2019

We had a clump of "holidays" over the 3-day weekend.  It began with 4-20, which found us hiking on Table Mountain; flowed into Easter with our family in Atherton, and wound up back at home with Earth Day, when I took a hike with Brenda, and we finally undecorated Dick's Tree and refreshed the Duck Depot for Spring.  Here are some visuals to enhance your understanding of our wonderful weekend.

We arrive on the Mountain and begin our hike.  Usually we come in late March or early April to fly our kites, but this time, it's later, and we came on a weekend, so it was super crowded.  (I know, it doesn't look crowded, does it?)

Jeffery in the gold fields, with purples stretching behind him to infinity.

Pretty waterway with whites, which is usual.

Lupin and Birds Eye Gillia

Monkey flower magenta, California Goldfields and Yellow Carpets

A sea of lupin and owl's-foot clover

White and gold on one side, pink and purple on the other.  The air smelled purple to me.

Deep ravine with waterfall and flower-lovers.

View towards the Valley to the west as we near Phantom Falls

The deep ravine from a different angle.

The storm approaches, so we head for the car.

Ladies in flowing dresses having photos taken.

The famous Oak with the storm behind.  We saw streaks of lightning!

We started our Easter Day with coffee and bagels on the Marin Headlands

See, we were really there in the flesh

We arrive at Sylvie and Don's

We got to meet Ben and Erin's daughter Eleanor for the first time.  Same with young Teddy.

Sylvie has always had wisteria in her yard

Matthew puts the "crisp" on the ribs with Petey looking on.  Do you see Petey?

Could you resist such a face?

Blonds being joyous together.

I was intrigued to find the microwave has a t.v. in its door!

One of my favorite trees in the forest, along the Ben Lomond trail overlooking Chipps Creek.

It's Earth Day, and Brenda and I are enjoying the water-wall section of the trail.

We climbed and climbed to get this view, which you all have seen before.

We used Earth Day to clean up and refresh the Triple D Duck Depot and Festivity Tree in Dick's yard.  I'm holding Pig'n'Chicken.  We took off the ornaments, and restrung some new working light strings.
