Last Day in New York itself

We drove from Amsterdam, via Cooperstown, through the Catskills, and back to the City; basically going from late winter to early spring as we went along.  The next morning, early, I took the subway to Queens, where I gave Jeffery one more hug, and proceeded to JFK airport.  From there to Salt Lake City and then to Sacramento where I picked up my car and headed into a world of lush green late spring.  California is downright fluffy, it's so verdant.  I'll illustrate with photos in another post, but for now; here's our trip "home".

One of four actually working Drive In Theaters sighted during our multi-day travels

you can go in and sit in the stands

and look out on the field of play and surrounding town and mountains

One of the beautiful places I saw while walking around town.  Jeffery, Matt, and Wendie did the Hall of Fame

the air smelled of burgeoning life and wet earth

I envy upstate NY'ers their slate and other flat rocks

the colors were unbelievable, but the roof lines were cool

I call this the Cooperstown Mystery House, like our Winchester House out here in California; it goes on forever without seeming rhyme or reason.
