I went to be with my kids for Mother's Day at the annual Shimizu House party. This year, Chris and Alan were at a wedding, so Auntie Barbara and I represented the elders, with Kara, Alex, Kyria, Matthew, Aila and Lily as the next two generations.

This rose was given to me years ago by Kyria, for Mother's Day. We moved it this year when we tore up our yard.
Here it is on May 14th, 2014, Kyria's birthday, blossoming especially for her. She was born on a Mother's Day!
The salmon red flower below the pink roses was her gift to me this Mother's Day. |
