Last day in NYC

We had an afternoon flight out of JFK, so we took a nice walk around before we got our bags packed up and took the subway to the airport.  Here you go; a TON of photos!

in the Daily News building is this fabulous informative globe display

one of the many bits of data:  this says "If the Sun was the Size of this Globe, and placed here, then comparatively, the Earth would be the size of a walnut and located at the Main Entrance to Grand Central Terminal".

we're not getting older, we're getting better!

This is about 1/5th of the tile tapestry that lured us into a building for photos; but we were not allowed to take more than one shot, and were asked to leave, since we weren't guests.  I love getting in trouble for my art!

close up of the decorations; again, what happens to these when they come down?  I'll take one!
