Running with the Bears Family Campout Week - Day One-plus

The event was beyond wonderful and into Sublime, but it was not without it's bumps in the road, so to speak, but what Big Family Outing is not?  The fact is, it all worked out so well, we are all eager to make it a tradition.  I have never camped with such a big group, and I like it immensely.

Jeffery, James and I took our truck-trailer and motorhome loads up to the campground Wednesday, to make sure we got the space we wanted.  I helped set up the camp, and then brought James back with me.  I had to make cookies that night, so they'd be very fresh, and I would be going to the Plumas-Sierra County Fair on Thursday to do a volunteer "greeter" shift, and to tour the Fair and see if my photo entries had won any prizes.  I won one blue ribbon!  It was my architecture photo in Jeffery's hand-made frame.  I went back to Taylorsville to join the Family after that, which will be in another post, soon to follow.

We made it to Rich Bar before one of the dualies blew out on the motorhome.  Thanks to Mike, who came with his star wrench, the guys removed the tire and we were able to continue onwards.

Load of fun in the trailer I was pulling

there we go, it's up!

this hammock was a serious hit with the kids, and if we couldn't find young Mason, we learned to look in the hammock before we panicked.
I didn't stay to see Diana and her large family arrive.  I made 7 dozen cookies that night, and when the festivities were over, I came home with 14 cookies!  Yay!  On to the Fair.

at the entrance this year, they put the merry-go-round, which was lovely
