Brenda and Laurie Braaten helped plan our excursion up Brokeoff Mountain in Lassen National Park. The weather was cloudy, cool, and occasionally misty, with windiness at the top levels. We girls turned back just short of the top, but the guys made it up to the top. It was a great trip; in ways, better than the climb up Lassen Peak, due to the lovely forest scenery along the way. It was a 3.5 mile one way hike, but we had to come back down, so I added 7 miles to my log book! Thanks friends all for this wonderful experience!
