Our Trip to see the Statue of Liberty

Jeffery and I rode the subway to 34th St. and walked down the Hudson River Park walk aaallllll the way to the ferry that would take us over to the Statue of Liberty.  Man, what a walk!  I was whining big time by the time we found ourselves in line, at 12:53 for the 1p.m. boat.  Yet we were among the first 25 folks to get on board!  I didn't photograph our comfort-food dinner at the Fortune House restaurant, but we sure did feel better after some soup, eggrolls and shrimp with walnuts.
Here is our day in pictures:

what does any of this really mean?!

Ellis Island, which is currently closed for renovations

look how tiny the people are!

Is that really how my hair looks in the back? she thinks...

damn that's a big ship!  a city afloat with amusement park rides on top
