Various and Sundry doin's

I present a melange of images that shall tell their own story as best as they can.

our little world

our proud production on this tree this year after years of paltry fruiting

Northfork Campground is being given an upgrade; new bathroom in background

we went to a friends house to feed the chickens and pick some veggies, but this asparagus plant was too beautiful to ignore

what we went home with

It was a Boater Weekend in the canyon.  These folks came from ERC, but I'm not sure where that is.

ERC boats floating through the reflecting pool

a different stretch of river.  these are but a few of the lots and lots of boats on the water!  so pretty!

I liked this photo, so it's in here

we parked on the highway edge under this cliff

Just above the Indian Jim Campground, which looked like a massive festival event, covered with boats, cars and campers.  So exciting to see the canyon allive with fun activity

folks watching the kayakers from the Rock Crest bridge

a favorite rock in the river for many of us, despite the thousands of choices

the run towards the Storrie Bridge; note the green flying kayak in the center

across from the Storrie Retreat

Now we're at the Celtic Festival, held at the Barn in Blairsden; a sold out event.

Jeffery with one of our table mates, discussing the America's Cup races

Alasdair Fraser; virtuoso Scottish fiddle player, teacher, and promoter of the old Scots fiddle music.

Alasdair played with Sean Cummings, cheered on by our hostess Audrey

Now we're at Lower Buck's Lake on a chilly day; Jeffery and Grant prepare

Mike and Lauren get ready to take the canoe out

They paddled out a ways and floated, and then came back for me

Grant
Jeffery.
We paddled across and up the lake, but a rain squall sent us back, so we only got an hour or so one the water.
The trip was worth it, due to the beauty of the views of early fall as we climbed up and up to the Lake we love.  Afterwards, we went to Mike's house where we got warm, had coffee, and were served a magnificent lunch!
Good days of Autumn
