Down Dark Canyon Road

Jeffery and I decided to do a mail-rock-manure run on Wednesday, so we hitched up the trailer to my car, and headed down to the Concow/Yankee Hill area, and then down into Dark Canyon for a day's worth of adventure.  We found a few flat rocks worth loading, had a couple of goodly walks, and then stopped to get a load of horse manure from our favorite roadside pile.  Good times.  Hope I don't bore you with all the photos I'm going to show you.  It was such a fabulous world down there.

there's a car down there!

can you see the quartz?

I'm holding my nose, because if the Lake was full, I'd be under water.  Please note the cement post up on the hill above me, so that you will understand the perspectives in the next photo.

I know what this plant is, but can't recall right at the moment.

We took a different road and found the tunnels we'd heard were around here.

Time to head home, via the Highway-side horse manure pile.  We got over a half a trailer-full!
