Yosemite - Day 5

We began the day with a slow hike up the Upper Yosemite Falls Trail.  I made it to Columbia Rock, one mile up.  Matt and Wendie went on to view the upper falls.  We met back up with Grama and had a snack lunch.  Then we boarded the bus for the Awahnee Hotel and Yosemite Village, before going back to Curry for dinner, Cinco de Mayo margaritas, and later, and moonlit champagne celebration on the boardwalk in the meadow in honor of J's and my 38th George Day Wedding Anniversary.

Matt and Wendie on the trail above the terrible switchbacks, which at least were shaded.

The next six photos form a panorama from Columbia Rock
looking north-east towards Yosemite Falls, with the Arrowhead showing on the rock face by it's shadow; otherwise, it seems to be part of the rock face

Glacier Point, with our camp-spot and Curry Village at it's feet

Sentinal Dome is in this view

and all the way 'round towards the west towards Cathedral Spires

we decided to go down before Matt and Wendie returned, so we left them a sign-post

Ummmmm, good stuff, Maynard!  Thanks Uncle Grover, it was yummy!
Tomorrow is our last day.  See you then.
