My final 48 hours were filled to the brim with last looks and walks and a dream come true. I went for a final wend through Central Park and mailed my excess clothes home so my suitcase would be more manageable in the airport. I walked Jeffery to the subway, and visited a few shops, but finally, it was time to call it a Last Day in NYC. Enjoy.

| Despite all the choices, I've decided that the Mr. K building is the most beautiful of all. It is red marble all the way. |
| I got on the wrong direction on the E train on Tuesday, the hottest day of the year, and it was so pleasantly cool, I almost decided to keep riding. Instead, I got off, and caught the next train back. I thought of Marshall and Barbara at this stop. |
| what merchants have to do to sell their wares. |
| the castle atop the building looks like this from Central Park, peeking out from behind the Park Plaza |
| what Jeffery and I will look like in a few years. Sweet, eh? |
| the cardinal held still! |
| bench marker; a point to ponder |
| I thought this fellow had set up a photo shoot, but he had discovered a plethora of tiny adventurers and was entranced. Because of him, I and many others were treated to something we probably would have missed. |
| the rock outcropping was covered with these tiny figures made of pipe-cleaners, perhaps up to 50 of them, but you had to look. |
| FAO window. A man cleaning the windows asked me if I wanted him to wash the window before I took photos. They looked pretty darned clean to me already. |
| the inside of the Sweet Shop in FAO. |
| elegant ashtrays for sale |
| elegant glasses for sale. |
| the fifth and final elevator interior; my favorite, blue. |
| gate house that made me think of Dr. Who's Tardis |
| woo woo; another undiscovered subway tile art |
| Lottery Dude and Lottery Lady taking filled out cards for cheap tickets to Book of Mormon. I tried on three different occasions, because it was so fun. I'll never hear the phrase "I know" without thinking of Lottery Dude. (and Riley Fewell) |
| We didn't win the lottery, so we stood in the cancellation line, and got tickets to the Show! Check it off my bucket list!!! I'd go again! I took this before the play, and I'm glad I did. Hello! |
| the stage in the Eugene O'Neill Theater |
| the crowd gathers for the show |
| detail of the beautiful ceiling |
| seeing Jeffery off to work on my last morning. A fellow observed us kissing and parting, and said to me "that's a good marriage when the wife takes the husband to the subway", then he bummed a cigarette off me. |
| last time with a cuppa and a donut in the Park |
| last glitzy window |
| last disturbing window |
| another undiscovered tiled hallway to the subway |
| had to stop and browse Midtown Comics! |
| A street view of the Hotel we stayed in. Our room was 6 floors from the top of the building on the left, in the inner corner, looking down on this construction project. |
| this is what the building under construction will look like when it's done. Guess that'll change the view from our window at the Lexington Hotel. |
I packed up, headed to Queens, and met up with Jeffery for a final lunch at Chipotle (I was a Chipotle virgin, and wow; it's delicious) Then, kisses, hugs, and farewell to Jeffery and New York. Next stop; California!
