More New York with Kyria and Jeffery

I am home now, but before I show you the Now, I have to finish the Then.  I left off on Labor Day Weekend when Kyria was visiting, so that's where I'll pick back up......

The High Line begins.  Formerly an elevated rail train, now it's a people's park for about a mile.

Dad and daughter on the High Line

I know I saw this last year, but I think there's more art on it now.  I'll have to go back and look

I may have shown you this last year, but the wall of buildings marching down the street is so awesomely big, I had to show it here.

Jeffery and I treated ourselves and Kyria to another $2 ride on Jane's Carousel.  It was Kyria's first time.

We thought we would weather the thunderstorm while waiting in the Park for Kyria, but the storm turned downright nasty and we had to make a run for it.  Thus, I played like a kid in the puddles, since I was wearing Tevas and was already soaked.

the rains came down hard even after we'd found refuge under a door-entry cover.  Meanwhile, Kyria was several blocks away, huddling under her own overhanging scaffolding.

after the rain, I spotted a statue I hadn't seen before, of the Seventh Regiment

beautiful tables!

The Queen was there.  We saw him through the window

Jeffery, Kyria and Riquia let me take them out to Monday breakfast, a treat not usually had, due to work hours

Damn, I love the buildings in New York

the signs in the Diner were all stranger than this!

Okay, I wasn't going to put it in, cuz it's blurry, but I'll leave you with this photo of Kyria and her pig knuckle and beer
Later on Monday, I took Kyria to the bus-stop, so she could head to the Newark Airport.  What a great time with our daughter!  Thanks for coming, K!
