Went up from Hanson on the commuter rail, and got into the thick of the Marathon. Couldn't get in to see Kyria run across the Finish Line, but was able to meet up after the race without trouble. It was a wonderful experience, and a special year to experience it. Everyone was so cordial, including the security/police. Kyria and her friend Traci did very well, and we could all follow them via text alerts. That made it really nice. Also impressive was the organization evident everywhere. So efficient and considerate.
I didn't take too many photos, and these don't show the massiveness of the crowds, but here are a few views for you to enjoy.

| This zoom-view is of just before the finish line. We could see tiny hats and heads running by. That's it. It was good, but no way were we going to find Kyria that way. |
| Here's the non-zoom view. This is as close as we could get, and I was up on a wall to get this. |
| Lots of helicopters flew constantly overhead |
| Me near the "end zone" where the runners who've finished get blankets and food and fluids and their medals |
| A glimpse of some of the finishers in the Family Meet-up area |
| Folks at the Boston Commons. Look at the far background to get an idea of how many people are in just this tiny view. |
| The corner of Boylston and Arlington Streets; waiting for Kyria |
| Traci and Kyria found eachother amidst all the runners. They came in only 6 or so minutes apart |
| Me, Kyria, Traci, and George Washington in the Boston Gardens part of the Commons |
| Policemen on horses. |
| The Swan Boats were out! |
