We flew into JFK airport, air-trained and subway-ed to 57th St. and emerged on the sidewalk feeling like we'd come home to a magical world. The sights, smells, and festivity warmed us, and we were amused to find that we had no residual "newcomer" anxieties regarding where to get off the subway, which way to turn to go uptown, or any of it.
I offer a few views for now, because it's almost time to go meet friends for supper, but I'll have more to come, rest assured!
