Grapes! Post Office Boxes! and a very large tree!

Matthew bestowed upon his dad 3 healthy grape vines, which, in Jeffery's haste to go away to work, we planted in barrels, rather than in the ground.  They were seemingly lifeless sticks when we got them, and now they're doing really well.  I, as the caretaker, am somewhat nervous about giving them the care they need, so I am posting photos, in hopes that Jeffery and Matt view them and give me pointers.

So, Matt, I give you shots of the before tying up, and the after, plus the rewarding bunches of babies!  What can you tell me?
And Jeffery; hello!  What do you think?  Pretty cool, heh?
For the rest of you distant canyon lovers, I include photos of our new P.O. situation, and a monster tree that I saw up on the trail to Ben Lomond.  Enjoy!

look at those little wee beauties!
