A very small post

Just a couple of photos to show, because, well, I haven't taken too many good ones lately.  Brenda and I hiked up the Ben Lomond Trail this week, and made it to Paul's Nose; about 2 and a quarter miles of steep climbs with no relief.  This means our 3 hour round-trip, which included some trail cleaning of fallen trees, maintained my 1.8mph average rate.  I sure wish I could consistently go at just over 2mph.
Anyway, here are some photos.  I am still wondering about the place "Ruck-a-Chucky" from my hike with Kyria.  Maybe she knows about it.

the Trail begins

our destination is right above Brenda's head in the background.  A big rock, at least, when you get to it.

Upon attaining the height, which is not the same as the Top, one can look back down into Chipps Creek, and on the other side of the ridgelet, look down into Paul's Creek.  Ben Lomond looms above, waiting to be reconquered!

The ridgelet that contains Paul's Nose

Paul's Nose is that rock on the left.  I've taken photos of Jeffery standing on it from our previous hike up this hill.

Paul's Nose; proof of acheivement!

The weir on Caribou Rd is gone, and is not going to be replaced.  I should be showing you flowing river before long.
