Family Times in the Portland, Oregon area

Jeffery and I started our Saturday with a walk across Highway 5 to the store, and then a bike ride, but whoever said Portland has no hills has never been to Lake Oswego.  I did walk my bike on several steeps, but we had fun, and did check off one of the things we had on our wish list.
There was the reason for our gathering, the wedding of Margo and Levi, which occurred at dusk, so our photos are few and mostly blurry, but I offer a few for the joy.
Then there's our Sunday Outing with the Family, which took us over to the Columbia River Gorge/Troutdale area.  The fall colors were starting, so the views were wonderful, and it didn't rain on us the whole three days we were there (except that one tiny shower during the wedding reception).  We feel so blessed to have had this time together!

is this a jaunty stance?

we thought this property owner had a great place by the lake

Headed to the big doin's, as we crossed the Willamette into Oregon City, where the wedding was held, we saw this elevator.  Yes, it's a public elevator.

we stopped at the Stillhouse Pub to sign and decorate the pumpkin we were giving Levi and Margo, and to fortify ourselves with a glass of  "liquid bread" in the form of Bellhaven Stout (actual Scottish stout) because we'd missed lunch.

we arrived at the lovely place where we would witness the vows of Levi and Margo, our cousins

of course, there was dancing after dinner!

our first view of the Columbia River Gorge, seen from Chanticleer Point/The Women's Forum.  It was like stepping into an oil painting in a museum.  Think of the views if the sun had been out.

we should have stopped at Wa-Kee-na Falls, due to more parking, but here at Multnomah Falls, we found plenty to do and see

What a surprise!!  Ed and Annette came here at the same time as us, an unexpected treat

I am obviously tiring, so I'll end here, even though Jeffery and I spent a bit more time together.  I'll have to put it into the next post.  Farewell until then.
