After a refreshing sleep I got on the road, with Mom and Kathy somewhere behind me. Made a few stops for photos and breaks, and, once beyond Grant's Pass, I was in countryside I'd never been in before. Now I can say I've traveled the length of Oregon!

| view from the Hotel window |
| the town of Rogue River welcomes me! |
| up up ever up, and then down, and then up again. |
| through thick green forests |
| and through scrubbier forests |
| I always wanted to go to Roseburg |
| farms were everywhere |
| loved this! |
| one of the many and varied loads carried by the plethora of trucks |
| the Oregon State Capitol, in what city everyone???? Come on, guess. If you said Salem, you were right. I was surprised. |
| the statue atop the Capitol |
| pumpkin patch, where I bought hot pumpkin donuts |
| window view in the shop at the pumpkin patch |
| the front said Chevrolet, but I think Jeffery said it was a Corvair |
| in Oregon City, across from the Stillhouse Pub where I found Barbara and Kathy again. |
| the Skybridge Walkway at PDX |
| the overarching structure at PDX |
| almost to Jeffery! |
| his plane is due at 10:02, and he's coming from New York, so he'll be tired |
| time for one more smoke, and here's where I must do it. |
Well, that's my journey. Next will be time with Jeffery and family, weddings and sight-seeing trips.
