Medford to Portland, where I pick up Jeffery

After a refreshing sleep I got on the road, with Mom and Kathy somewhere behind me.  Made a few stops for photos and breaks, and, once beyond Grant's Pass, I was in countryside I'd never been in before.  Now I can say I've traveled the length of Oregon!

the town of Rogue River welcomes me!

up up ever up, and then down, and then up again.

through thick green forests

and through scrubbier forests

I always wanted to go to Roseburg

farms were everywhere

loved this!

one of the many and varied loads carried by the plethora of trucks

the Oregon State Capitol, in what city everyone????  Come on, guess.  If you said Salem, you were right.  I was surprised.

the front said Chevrolet, but I think Jeffery said it was a Corvair

in Oregon City, across from the Stillhouse Pub where I found Barbara and Kathy again.

almost to Jeffery!

his plane is due at 10:02, and he's coming from New York, so he'll be tired

time for one more smoke, and here's where I must do it.
Well, that's my journey.  Next will be time with Jeffery and family, weddings and sight-seeing trips.
